Salam,

I was watching the TCL channel on Bangladesh just now, and felt how lucky we were to be living in this blessed land.

The verse 9:19 suggests who the caretakers of the House are.

Just pondering.

VERSE 9:19

What! do you make (one who undertakes) the giving of drink to the pilgrims and the guarding of the Sacred Mosque like him who believes in Allah and the latter day and strives hard in Allah's way? They are not equal with Allah; and Allah does not guide the unjust people. [Shakir 9:19]

Count ye the slaking of a pilgrim's thirst and tendance of the Inviolable Place of Worship as (equal to the worth of) him who believeth in Allah and the Last Day, and striveth in the way of Allah? They are not equal in the sight of Allah. Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. [Pickthal 9:19]

[Othman 9:19]

Do you reckon the giving of water to pilgrims and the inhabiting of the Holy Mosque as the same as one who believes in God and the Last Day and struggles in the way of God? Not equal are they in God's sight; and God guides not the people of the evildoers. [Arberry 9:19]

Do ye make the giving of drink to pilgrims, or the maintenance of the Sacred Mosque, equal to (the pious service of) those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and strive with might and main in the cause of Allah. They are not comparable in the sight of Allah. and Allah guides not those who do wrong. [A Y Ali 9:19]

[Lafazhiah 9:19]

Observation

(In reference to verse 9:19)

It was observed that in the Masjidil Haram, zam-zam was in abundance and  free flowing, and considering the influx of millions of visitors to the Haram annually, the House was very well maintained. Only the practice wasn’t. There were also people who gave away (in charity) bottled drinks (mineral water) in public places away from the Mosque.

There were some who frequent to The House practised differently from the majority. And it was observed that the majority had obviously diviated from the teachings of the Quran. However, this (the differences among people of the al Kitab) should be left to Allah to decide.

All Praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Universe

[One who just returned from visiting Mecca]

Salamun alaikum,

Justeru, kami percaya, apabila orang-orang bertakwa jadi pelindung tempat tersebut, maka ketika itu orang-orang al-Qur'an tentu jadi sangat gembira.

Allah disanjung!
